Being a refrigerative system the Supercool complements Convair's range of evaporative coolers as it is specifically designed for use in enclosed spaces.

The Supercool is fully equipped with a variable temperature control, electronic touch panel system and a remote control, making it very easy to programme.

It also comes furnished with an 'elephant trunk' hose that allows the hot air and water vapour collected within the system to be vented outside using the universal vent kit.

Being a small portable unit, the Supercool can be wheeled from room to room.

The Supercool refrigerative air-conditioner uses the same operating principle as a refrigerator, "pumping" heat from one place to another.

Like a refrigerator, it has two connected coils - an inside coil and outside coil.

The coils are connected by pipes filled with refrigerant which is pumped around the circuit by a compressor.

As warm air passes over the indoor coil, heat is transferred to the refrigerant passing through the coil, and pumped to the outdoor coil where it is dissipated into the atmosphere through the elephant trunk hose.

The Supercool is available in two models - the Supercool 9, which operates at 9000 British Thermal Units (BTUs), and the Supercool 12, which runs at 12000 BTUs.

BTU refers to the amount of heat that will be removed per hour, for example in this instance the Supercool 12 model will remove 12000 BTUs per hour.

9000 BTUs is equivalent to 2.6kW and 12000 BTUs is equivalent to 3.5kW.

The Convair Supercool has a retail price from GBP 349.00 (incl VAT) and it comes with a full 12 month guarantee.
