Ruby Dry dehumidifier for unpredictable weather

A Scott Products product story

Ruby Dry, the recently launched portable dehumidifier from Scott Products, is the perfect solution for eliminating excess moisture in the home.

With autumn approaching, unsettled weather conditions are becoming more and more prevalent across the UK, causing many homes to experience unwanted damp problems.

The Ruby Dry, the recently launched portable dehumidifier from Scott Products, is the perfect solution for eliminating excess moisture in the home during these unpredictable months.

Unlike traditional compressor-based dehumidifiers which can only extract large amounts of water during warm temperatures, when there is a big difference in the ambient air, the Ruby Dry extracts 5 litres of water every 24 hours regardless of weather or temperature.

While the effectiveness of conventional dehumidifiers diminishes rapidly below 15 degreeC, the Ruby Dry operates effectively even at low temperatures of 1-15 degree C.

This makes the Ruby Dry perfect for the variable British climate.

Every house suffers from some kind of excess moisture, whether it comes from a running bath or boiling kettle.

Damp and condensation problems are also very common in usually unheated places such as cellars and attics, garages, caravans, boats and holiday homes.

Excess humidity helps the growth of mould and mildew, which can trigger allergies, cause the rot and decay of wood substructures and destroy clothing and fabrics.

Being a wholly revolutionary unit, the Ruby Dry dries the air by an adsorption process, which reduces the humidity level of the room by absorbing the moisture within the air and then delivering a constant flow of dried and warmed air.

As a consequence, the Ruby Dry increases the room temperature by up to 12 degree C, thus helping users to save energy and money from central heating during winter months.

In addition, the Ruby Dry is very light, compact in size and features a handle, making it particularly easy to move and reposition anywhere in the house.

Although powerful, the Ruby Dry is quiet in operation being ideal for use even in the bedroom.

Furthermore, the Ruby Dry features two operation modes: automatic and continuous.

In the automatic mode, the humidity level is controlled by the unit's sensors.

Moreover, the Ruby Dry automatically stops operating once the water reservoir is full.

Alternatively, water can be drained directly to waste.

Respecting the environment, the Ruby Dry absorbs humidity by the use of silicagel, a natural component that produces no freon or noxious gases.

Unlike conventional appliances, the Ruby Dry does not fall within the new End of Life disposal regulations.

These regulations require the use of a licensed recycling unit capable of recovering the refrigerant chemical when disposing of electrical appliances, and do not apply to Ruby Dry since the unit has no refrigerant.

The Ruby Dry has a retail price of between GBP200 - GBP249 with trade terms offering healthy margins.
