SOL set for success with the Salvation Army

SOL will be carrying out day to day response maintenance including full 24 hour emergency cover for hostels and domestic housing.

Midlands based SOL Construction has won a three year contract with the Salvation Army Housing Association.

SOL will be carrying out day to day response maintenance including full 24 hour emergency cover for hostels and domestic housing.

The three year contract covers a wide geographical area of the country spanning areas including Nottingham, Birmingham, Derby, Stoke-on-Trent, Huntingdon and as far as Sheffield.

Despite only commencing a few weeks ago SOL Construction has already carried out a variety of everyday works.

These have included repairs to windows, storage heaters and toilet systems.

Working with the Salvation Army is proving to be a fantastic opportunity for the Nottingham division of SOL.

Maintenance is something that the Warwickshire division, formerly known as SOL West Midlands has been involved in for some time now.

Eager to expand, Nottingham have branched out to include a maintenance department which covers day to day repairs, void property works and an emergency call out service.

Martin Pearce from the Nottingham division stated "Despite being what some may view as a relatively small contract at £200,000 a year we are thrilled to be involved in something that is so beneficial to so many people".

"It also allows us expand our expertise further a field".

David Smith the Assistant Director for Property at the Salvation Army explained "We are delighted with the works carried out by SOL and early indications show that this is going to be a very successful contract.".
