Solaglas completes flagship at Ng2
Solaglas Contracting Midlands have just completed a contract to glaze the flagship office block at a brand new business park at former Royal Ordnance factory site in Nottingham.

The development, situated on a major approach road to the city, is known as Ng2, reflecting the scheme's postcode and has been exclusively designed by Maber Associates of Nottingham.
Solaglas Midlands were awarded the project by Bowmer and Kirkland primarily on the basis of their technical ability and regional presence.
Working closely with the architects, Solaglas' solution to the complex 'U' shape design of the building was to install Technal curtain walling, providing a flush finish to the building envelope.
Double glazed units comprised SGG COOLITE SKN169, a neutral coated solar control glass supplied by Solaglas' architectural manufacturing business in Bishop Auckland.
Fabrication was carried out using scissor lifts ensuring speed and efficiency throughout the installation process.
Negotiations are on-going to secure further glazing contracts on the same site.
