Solaglas glazing project for Sheffield City Hall
Solaglas Structural Contracting have recently completed an 80K GBP glazing project for Sheffield City Hall from main contractors HBG.
The three-storey store selling menswear, womenswear and young fashion is located close to Oxford Circus.
Working with Esprit's in-house architectural team, the Georgian facade was stripped back for Solaglas to create a double height entrance space with frameless glass doors and shopfront comprising 19mm toughened glass with panes as large as 4.5m x 3m.
The leaves were then secured using the SGG Spider Glass bolted system providing a flush exterior finish to accentuate light, transparency and visibility through the glass.
SGG Parsol body-tinted float glass screens have been positioned in-store on the first and second floors providing a simple but effective backdrop for the merchandise.
