Solaglas has developed another strongly differentiated DGU offering, this time for the conservatory roof market.

The offer encompasses three double glazed units branded as the SGG Climaplus Comfort range, each unit offering increasing levels of Comfort for the conservatory user.

The basic Comfort unit combines high tech products to create a safety unit with both advanced solar control and thermally insulating properties.

It provides twice as much heat reflection as a standard DGU due to a solar factor of only 38% and gives over 50% more heat insulation thanks to the 1.1 centre pane U-value.

The aesthetically pleasing blue/grey tint of the unit reduces glare from the sun and the easy-clean coating means the conservatory owner can spend more time admiring the view rather than cleaning windows.

The second product in the range is the Comfort Protect unit which, in addition to all the benefits of the basic unit, also offers significant protection against harmful UV rays by blocking out over 99%.

This means that the unsightly fading of furnishings, often a real problem in a conservatory environment, is reduced.

The unit also gives peace of mind by offering added security against objects breaking through the glass roof and, when combined with laminated wall units, against break-and entry.

Ultimate Comfort is created with the Comfort SILENCE unit.

This product, which has all the features of the PROTECT unit, also gives a clearly audible 6-7Db reduction in noise levels over and above the basic unit (which already gives a 100% sound reduction compared to polycarbonate roofs).

The benefit is particularly noticeable when it is raining, and also offers protection against nuisance noise from airplanes, roads, railways and even noisy neighbours when combined with acoustically laminated wall units.
