Glass installation specialists 'Solaglas Contracting South' has completed a project to provide a comprehensive glazing package for construction of the 'Church On The Heath' at Elvetham Heath.
A partnership between the Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed churches, the Church On The Heath was designed by Allen Architects and features a stunning cross on its glass facade as well as a curved glass entrance way It also forms a key part of a new community development in Elvetham Heath

Solaglas provided and installed windows, curtain walling, top hung opening vents, cills and centre pivot double doors as well as applying a decorative powder coating finish to the exposed surfaces of aluminium profiles.
In addition, green, blue and textured film was applied to the glazing in the cross with lead caps fitted on joins to give the appearance of individual panes of stained glass.
Technal commercial window, thermally enhanced curtain walling and door systems were specified throughout.
28mm thick glazing units were made using SGG PLANITHERM FUTUR N, SGG PLANILUX and SGG EMALIT glass.
To ensure compliance with Part N, SGG SECURIT was also used where appropriate.
Contracting South was awarded the project by contractors Wilding Butler Construction.
