Solaglas Contracting win contracts totalling more than GBP2.7million in May.

Key contracts include:.

* a GBP940,000 windows, doors and curtain walling contract from Alfred McAlpine for Potato Wharf, a waterside collection of contemporary apartments in the Castlefield area of Manchester by developer Crosby Lend Lease.

Specialist acoustic glazing has been specified due to the proximity of a nearby railway line.

* a GBP461,000 contract with George and Harding for the new 307-bed Travelodge at Heathrow, comprising mainly fixed light windows and an element of curtain walling.

* a GBP853,000 curtain walling contract with the University of Plymouth for the Link building.

The existing three storey building is to be refurbished and extended with the addition of a fourth storey.

* a windows, doors and curtain walling contract worth GBP479,000 from Alfred McAlpine for Pathfinder House, Huntingdonshire District Council's new HQ building.

Work on the five buildings that form the new council offices will be phased over three years.
