Latest Spelsberg enclosures available from Farnell offer improved customisation, lower profiles and quicker fitting.

As part of the most recent agreement between the two companies, Farnell, the world-leading marketer and distributor of electronic and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products has included Spelsberg's latest product offerings on its website as well as in the forthcoming 2008 printed catalogue.

Spelsberg is one of the largest producers of plastic enclosures in the world and their latest range of UK products are designed to appeal as much to the OEM and installer markets as system designers and home users.

Thanks to the online distributorship agreement, customers can instantly order Spelsberg's Abox Black range of enclosures that conform to the ATEX 100a regulations for both the junction box and internal components.

Designed for use in zones 2 and 22 potentially explosive environments, the Abox Black range boasts IP65 ingress protection and a tough polycarbonate body that provides reliable use both indoor and outdoor.

The standard polystyrene Abox design has also been modified and made available from the site with an additional choice of flat lid and smooth sidewalls to facilitate modification for custom cable glands and entries.

The latest 1818-f and 2518-f additions to Spelsberg's TK range are also designed for maximum flexibility; offering a choice of tough polystyrene or polycarbonate bodies and grey or transparent lids.

Featuring a lower profile base and a deeper lid option for easier access to terminals, the enclosures provide an ideal solution for use as standalone machine control panels or situated in space-restricted cabinets.

Again smooth lids and sidewall options allow maximum customisation to fit bespoke panels, indicators and switches.

By offering a choice between polystyrene and polycarbonate enclosures, Spelsberg has enabled Farnell to better cater for both installer and home user markets, especially with the latest AK and Aki housed distribution boxes.

The new enclosures offer functionality and style and are Ideal for any indoor or outdoor application where breakers or multiphase terminals are required.

A transparent lid allows immediate system monitoring and the broad range of designs available includes boxes with up to twenty M20 entries and six M25/M32 knockouts in one base.

IP65 sealing and compatibility with systems up to 400v enables the new AK enclosures to be equally suited for indoor industrial/construction applications as home or commercial greenhouses.
