SandP Coils has announced it has added to its current CPD offering with two new seminars approved by the Construction CPD Certification service.

Specialist manufacturer and supplier of heating equipment SPC (SandP Coils) has announced it has added to its current CPD (Continuing Professional Development) offering with two new seminars approved by the Construction CPD Certification service.

Aimed at architects, building design engineers and consultants, the presentations look at the benefits behind some of the most innovative and efficient new heating products.

The first new seminar focuses on Energy Conservation with Warm Air Curtains and Trench Heating.

Through worked examples of previous installations, it will assist in the specification of these products, as well as providing an understanding of their dynamics, effectiveness and energy saving potential.

The second new presentation assists in the understanding and design of Radiant Ceiling Panel Systems.

Giving a thorough background on these products, their heat output, energy saving potential and system design, the presentation will also look at acoustic radiant panels that can be used for sound absorption, as well as how to use radiant panels for effective cooling.

SPC is committed to training and broadening the knowledge base of engineers.

Since 1997, it has been registered with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider.

The new presentations each last under an hour and are provided by SPC's in-house product experts, with a buffet lunch provided.

Product Manager at SPC, Robin Wakefield, has done hundreds of CPD seminars in his career.

He is keen to stress the benefits of these latest presentations: "Radiant ceiling panels are probably the most efficient yet least appreciated form of heat emitters".

"Air curtains are also in the front line of energy conservation".

"Trench heaters, particularly with the latest innovations, are among the most flexible heating products available today".

"Their efficiency and flexibility are first rate and it's important that the industry understands exactly what these products are capable of, the correct methodology for system design, and the benefits they can bring".

The two new presentations add to SPC's current offering of CPD presentations: Heat Exchanger Coil Design in HVAC Systems, The Benefits of Heat Pipes in HVAC Systems and Specific Uses of Heat Pipes in Hot and Humid Climates.
