The trench unit casing is an aluminium extrusion, with a new design of aluminium roll up grille to match.
This houses a heating coil and a 30mm diameter tangential fan powered by a specially designed 12v DC motor, which is not only extraordinarily quiet, but also only uses only 3W per linear metre.
The maximum heat output varies according to the conditions and the unit selected, but can be up to an amazing 842W per linear metre.
Specialist Products Manager Robin Wakefield said: "There is simply nothing else on the market quite like the T50.
It is the only trench heater that can fit into the depth of the floor screed, which means that it can be fitted into the floor without preplanning or expensive floor modifications.
"The T50 trench heater is ideal in almost any building application for fitting into the top floor layers or as a very low perimeter 'step'.
It would be an especially suitable heat source for conservatories, offices, living areas or receptions." The unit forms just part of an innovative range of trench heaters, convectors, fan convectors, air curtains, radiant ceiling panels and coils.
It is also included in an approved CPD seminar on the design and energy saving aspects of Warm Air Curtains and Trench heating systems.
