London-based architects Sprunt, specialists in urban and property renewal strategies, has completed a comprehensive review of the existing accommodation at a West-London School.

Top Of The Class Strategy For West-London School London-based architects Sprunt, specialists in urban and property renewal strategies, has completed a comprehensive review of the existing accommodation at Elthorne Park High School in Ealing, west-London, and assessed the school's accommodation needs over the next 10 years

As a result of the work carried out by Sprunt, the school now has a robust accommodation strategy, against which any demands for new space and buildings-related expenditure can be judged.

As part of the project, Sprunt analysed the implications of change to the school's curriculum as well as the school's aspirations for specialist status.

These factors were costed and reviewed in line with the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) guidance on sufficiency, suitability and condition.

"All the staff and governors were consulted during the review, leading to a report which was not only comprehensive, but also gave us an exciting road map for the future," said Mohamed Sabur, head teacher, Elthorne Park High School.

Steve McGivney, director at Sprunt, added: "We really enjoyed working with the staff at the school to make sure all their accommodation needs were understood and catered for.

The proposal we put together focused on the affordable, while including ideas that lead to a more open site with exciting and practical buildings which will inspire teachers and pupils for years to come." About Sprunt.
