Spectus for largest UK holiday home project

A Spectus Window Systems product story

Hundreds of new build traditional holiday homes and apartments in the style of an old fishing village have been fitted with Spectus vertical sliders, casements and patio doors.

Wright Construction uses Spectus for UK's largest holiday home project.

The GBP520,000 project with Wright Construction is the largest development of its kind in the UK - a 150-acre site, of which 50 acres will be developed and the remainder used as amenity land.

EYG Commercial Glazing Solutions fabricated and installed the windows and doors.

Commercial Division Director, Mike Hanson, comments: "The Spectus profile is ideal to use in large projects such as this".

"The vertical slider in particular has an authentic appearance and was chosen to fit in with the style of the resort".

The exclusive coastal development in Filey Bay, North Yorkshire, consists of streets and terraces and a Victorian crescent overlooking the sea.

Twenty different house styles have been produced with rustic bricks from the Netherlands, slate and tiled roofs and ornamental chimney pots.

Architectural inspiration was taken from Poundbury - the Prince of Wales's new-build traditional estate in Dorset.

Built on an old Butlins site, further development includes leisure facilities with a swimming pool, multi-gym and tennis courts, plus a hotel and a 600 more holiday homes.
