Millions saved on building more Midlands
homes
Extral GBP5 million per year could be available to build more affordable homes in the West Midlands thanks to a new wide-ranging agreement between key local suppliers and a development consortium.
Spectrum Development Partnership - led by West Mercia Housing Group and made up of ten West Midlands affordable housing providers - has spent the last 12 months in discussions with architects, quantity surveyors, works contractors and health and safety co-ordinators through the Official Journal of the European Journal (OJEU) procurement process Spectrum has now committed to working with 19 local organisations with different specialities on forthcoming projects across the region, enabling it to progress works faster, cut red tape and ensure more new affordable homes are built to meet increased demand
