Asta SiteProgress is designed for planners who manage multiple projects and require regular updates from numerous team members based at different remote locations.
This adaptable web-based progress-reporting tool enables staff onsite to record progress online or work offline and submit updates via email.
For planners, manually collating progress reports by fax or verbally from each site is time intensive and can cause delays to the update of the construction programme.

In addition, re-keying this project data into the planning system is time consuming and increases the chance of human error.
These problems are exacerbated if planners are responsible for multiple projects and sites.
Using Asta SiteProgress such issues are eliminated.
The automated solution enables site managers to download an email data file to record progress onsite, even where there is no direct Internet or Intranet access.
Updates can be returned by email on dialling back in.
Alternatively, progress can be recorded online and simply saved using a web-browser.
This approach reduces the time spent visiting sites to get updates and effort spent on administration as progress reports do not need to be faxed or data re-keyed into the project plans.
As re-keying is not an issue, the information submitted is more accurate due to less scope for human error.
Onsite staff including sub-contractors will also benefit from using Asta SiteProgress.
It is easy to use and requires minimal training.
Project tasks are presented in a simple tabular format so that users can quickly enter progress.
Once the information is saved to the web location or returned by email, the various project authors can automatically import all the updates they are responsible for directly into plans stored within Asta Powerproject.
This eliminates the duplicate entry of the data.
Michael McCullen, managing director at Asta Development commented: "In an industry where speedy and accurate reporting is key to competitiveness, manual, time intensive practices have had their day.
We have taken into account the needs of our large and small construction clients and have developed an affordable solution which will help to streamline the reporting process, eliminate inaccuracies and provide project planners with increased visibility to help them make decisions with confidence.".
