Stanley has introduced a new kid to the demolition block in the shape of the FatMax Fubar II, with multifunctional benefits that are sure to make the ground move for a host of professional and DIY applications This tough-looking Functional Utility Bar (hence the FuBar abbreviation) may look familiar to some, as it is borne out of the original demolition hero, the FatMax XL FuBar, which Stanley created following observational research with professional users

Stanley Quickslide utility knife wins award
Stanley's Quickslide utility knife has been awarded Product of the Year by members of the Hardware and Garden Retailers Association (HGRA).
This insight showed that tools aren't necessarily being used for the purpose they were designed for, for example, hammers are being used as much for pulling things out and breaking things up as they are for knocking nails in! But whilst there is a clear family resemblance, the new FatMax Fubar II provides a wide range of distinct benefits and builds on the successful usage of its older sibling.
The '4-in-1' tool is constructed from a one piece forged steel bar for increased durability and is designed for prying, splitting, board bending and striking jobs.
Still tough-looking, the FuBar II is only 35oz making it suited for repetitive striking and neater dimensions lend themselves to coping with harder to reach corners and more fiddly operations.
Other features include a serrated gripping jaw, textured grip for excellent comfort and control, even when wet, and tempered steel to prevent chipping.
In addition, a pry bar end with a bevelled nail slot makes short work of pulling nails.
David Osborne, Head of Marketing for Stanley comments: "In the same way that our initial research highlighted the need for a tough and versatile tool that was capable of pulling, breaking up and prying, resulting in the creation of the Fat Max XL FuBar, subsequent feedback from pro users has led to the evolution of the Fat Max FuBar II, which is designed to bolster the FuBar concept, not replace the original tool".
"Specifically, we believe that this new tool will tick a much broader number of demolition boxes, whether that be for the plumber or the carpenter needing a tough but targeted tool for breaking up flooring, or for the DIY-er needing a flexible and accessible destruction tool."
