Stanley supersizes it at Interbuild

Mega giveaways, ultimate tools performing ultimate challenges and a 16ft boxing ring...just some of the fantastic action found in the Stanley-Interbuild Arena at this year's show.

Pros young and old from around the country saw their name in lights after triumphing in the range of challenges taking place on the Stanley stand - testing both brains and brawn.

The winners also got to walk away with a host of great tools from Stanley's ultimate range for the pros - FatMax XL.

For the crowds that gathered to watch the pros go head-to-head in a series of competitions, there was plenty to cheer on from the stands.

Following the success of Stanley's series of nationwide 'Judgement Day' events, which saw professional builders and tradesmen go head to head against each other, battling it out for building site supremacy, the company recreated an 'Xtra' special version of the event at Interbuild 2008.

David Osborne, head of marketing for Stanley, comments: "This year's Interbuild was a huge success for Stanley".

"The purpose-built arena proved a real showstopper with a superb number of visitors stepping up to take part in the action".

The highlight of each day was the 'Demolition Derby' a chance for brave pros to take on a challenge of destruction with our ultimate 4-in-1 demolition tool - the Fubar.

The fastest time recorded for this challenge was 22 seconds.

Our expectations were totally exceeded by the large crowds who came along to watch and cheer on the action".

"The 'One-Armed-Bendit' challenge proved another big success with a host of pros relishing the opportunity to take each other on for bragging rights! These challenges gave us a perfect opportunity to get the tools in the hands of pros and really put them to the test".

As well as the challenges in the ring, there was plenty for visitors to see elsewhere on the stand, including displays of all the FatMax XL tools and a brand new range of Stanley branded workwear, featuring everything from heavy-duty work trousers to interactive technical fleeces to Polo work shirts and performance zip sweatshirts.
