Stanley Tools runs premiership prize competition

Stanley Tools has run a competition offering the chance to win the trappings of a premiership football player for the day, 'Win a Footballer's Life'.

Sixty-six year old Bognor window-fitter Peter Keogh has been announced as the winner of the national competition.

The incredible prize was awarded by Stanley to reward one of its loyal customers following what has proved to be a very tough year.

On Saturday 3 July, Peter left behind his window fittings and instead got behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe, and spent the day signing autographs and getting snapped by paparazzi who mistook him for a footy legend.

After teeing off at celebrity golf course The Grove right behind England star Peter Crouch, Peter spent GBP2500 getting kitted out at a glamorous London department store and then took to the mic at TalkSport to undergo a premiership-style grilling from ex-footy star Jason Cundy.

And as if that wasn't enough, Peter was finally whisked off to dine at a luxury London restaurant and hit the town VIP-style with cocktails at an exclusive Chelsea club to top off his memorable day, which he shared with his wife Sandra and friends Tina and Graeme Wilkie.

Peter commented: "My day living a footballer's life was one I will never forget".

"I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I'm so grateful to Stanley for giving me the opportunity to life a life of luxury for the day".
