Natural stone specialist, Stancliffe Stone, has launched a new standard range of products designed to make the job of specifying, procuring and working with natural stone easier.

The company's new Architectural Masonry Range is detailed in a comprehensive 24 page guide, which contains full technical and specification information on a wide range of products including window sets, heads and feature stones, cills, mullions and jambs, band courses and copings and caps.

The range has been designed to provide standard solutions to common construction details, such as window and door openings, and features Stancliffe's full range of natural stones - red and buff sandstones and buff gritstone.

All of the stones are available with a smooth or rubbed texture, consistent with bespoke Ashlar work.

Warren Goodall, Stancliffe's Sales and Marketing Manager, outlined the thinking behind the range: "Traditionally, the specification of natural stone products has been a complicated task".

"Our aim was to simplify this by presenting a range of standard products which would enable specifiers to clearly identify the right components for specific applications".

Once the range had been defined, the company developed a technical guide to assist specifiers in making the right product selection, beginning with the identification of the stone they want to work with.

Having chosen the stone, the next step is to select the component, be it a cill, a coping or a window set, and then finally the required dimensions.

At this point a product code may be incorporated into the specification, ensuring consistency of product identification throughout the supply chain.

Goodall concludes: "We are proud of our reputation for quality and innovation".

"This development is a further example of our ability to respond to the needs of our customers, ensuring that we continue to provide products and services of the highest standards backed by outstanding technical and customer support.".
