A Steel Window Association product story

All members of the Steel Window Association are now able to offer clients the enhanced strength afforded by the B195 Casement Handle, manufactured under the Smith Wallis brand by Basta.

All members of the Steel Window Association are now able to offer clients the enhanced strength afforded by the B195 Casement Handle, manufactured under the Smith Wallis brand by Basta.

The new version features a single slot for night vent and the modified screw hole positions match the configuration of the B709 locking handle.

This modification to the screw hole positions further applies to the single point handle as well as to the K4 and K5 Duplex handles.

Manufactured in hot forged brass, the B195 Casement handle will be available with either a satin chrome or RTD finish to complement most room decors.

This specification will also make the ironmongery very hardwearing, as well as resistant to atmospheric corrosion.

Jenni Turner, Director of the Steel Window Association, commented: "This adaptation maintains the traditional styling of the handle while giving greater flexibility and functionality".

"The new Basta Casement Handle is both well designed and well made, whilst remaining competitively priced".

Due to the same hole configurations on all handles, for the window fabricator the change to the configuration of the handle should simplify assembly, while the greater installed strength will help enhance the sector's reputation for rugged reliability; as well as continuous product improvement.

Revised code numbers have been issued to cover all the options for the new handles - including left and right handed versions - and production of the existing version of the Basta Casement Handle is discontinued.
