New steel windows for Charterhouse School

A Steel Window Association product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 23, 2007

Member of Steel Window Association, Clement Steel Windows, successfully completes project at Charterhouse School in Surrey.

The school's old science block is Grade II listed and part of the original Victorian buildings.

Recently it has been extensively refurbished to a very high standard, with the architect preserving the original features.

The nineteenth century metal windows were in a very poor state of repair and EB24 steel windows were specified to replace them.

The windows' slim steel sections retain the building's traditional look and the windows provide good thermal performance, require minimal maintenance and have Secured by Design multi-point locking.

A guide to steel windows and list of members is available free from the Steel Window Association, tel: 020 7637 3571, e-mail: info@steel-window-association.co.uk, or look at the website.
