Steel Window Association at Glassex, Stand 4-E65 The good looks and energy efficiency of steel windows make a powerful appeal in both contemporary architecture and conservation projects
Their slender lines give lightness to the frames and their elegance is difficult to match in the bulky profiles of most alternative materials.
Today, all new steel windows are galvanized during manufacture so they cannot rust and most are delivered to site with a factory applied paint finish which eliminates the need for painting for at least 20 years.
In an increasingly "green" environment it is worth noting that steel windows are totally recyclable.
Steel windows are synonymous with security: steel is the first choice when keeping intruders out and - once they are caught - for keeping them in.
