USE OF STONE IN BUILDING A two-day course on the "Use of stone in building" is being held in a London hotel on October 31 and November 1.
Organised by Stone Federation Great Britain it will be suitable for qualified and trainee architects, designers, specifiers, surveyors and planners wishing to know more about the use of natural stone.
Specific subjects covered include: practical identification of rocks, stone testing and European codes, the design of a structure and its use on stone cladding, water management, sealants, weathering and decay and repairs.
The course fee is £340 plus vat and includes all meals and overnight accommodation.
