Strategic Team has become the first company in the history of the National Business Awards to receive three separate awards.

Strategic Team Group, one of the UK's fastest growing suppliers of building and property solutions, has become the first company in the history of the National Business Awards to receive three separate awards At a prestigious awards ceremony in Manchester, Strategic Team Group received three National Business Northern Regional Programme Awards in the following categories: Business Improvement Through People; Growth Strategy of the Year and City and Guilds Employer of the Year

As the UK's most sought after business accolades, the National Business Awards - sponsored by Orange - include five regional events and a stand-alone event for Scotland.

The Awards have been referred to by the Chancellor of the Exchequer as the 'Business Oscars' and deliver a positive effect on morale and company profile as well as providing a unique benchmarking exercise for those who take part.

The awards received by STG involved demonstrating a range of skills, values, strategies and procedures.

For the Employer of the Year award STG was asked to demonstrate well-adopted company values, a stimulating workplace with an effective work-life balance, the means to support employee development and the ability to maintain a leading edge position in its industry.

For Growth Strategy of the Year STG's organic growth strategy came under scrutiny and was required to prove that it has a significant effect on sales, profit and market share; and for Business Improvement Through People STG was evaluated in terms of its ability to use a people development strategy to improve performance, motivation and commitment of the workforce.

Speaking about the awards, Charles Tweed, Business Development Director at STG, said: " We were delighted to have been short listed for three categories and thrilled to win in all three! A lot of work goes into each entry but we felt from the start that we had the ability to demonstrate how and why we are successful and why we should win the awards.

"The main driver behind everything we do and certainly the key reason to our success in winning these three fantastic awards is our great team.

We are passionate about creating a forward-thinking, exciting, rewarding and happy place to work that is focussed on achievement, success and rewards - and we think our low employee turnover and profitable market growth proves we are being successful at this!" Having made history at the National Business Awards Northern Regional programme for the North East, STG will now go forward to the National Business Award finals in London this November.

Here, STG will undergo further rigorous judging which will assess their success to date and compare them to similarly successful businesses from a range of sectors.
