Stokvis offers solar energy water heating

A Stokvis Energy Systems product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 13, 2009

Stokvis Energy Systems is showing its evacuated tube solar collector at the HEVAR Exhibition.

The Ecotube solar collector utilises solar energy and reduces the input required from the boiler plant.

Parasitic energy is the energy used up by the system itself when converting solar energy to heat, and is lost by most evacuated tube solar heating systems.

The Ecotube reduces parasitic energy loss.

The Ecotube requires smaller pumps to circulate fluid resulting in a sustained level of heat and pressure.

Ecotube produces more than 750kWh/m2 per year in direct heating mode and a 850kWh/m2 per year in pre-heat mode.

Also showcased at the exhibition stand is the C Series of Econoplate plate heat exchangers.

The C Series operates at low flow and return temperatures to combine with condensing boiler operation.

Also appearing at the stand is Econoflame R6000, a condensing low nitrogen oxide premix commercial boiler available in seven models with outputs from 142 to 539 kW.
