Experts ready for STATS 'Foundations'
seminar
STATS announce details of its next half-day seminar entitled 'Recycling Foundations'.
'Recycling Foundations' is taking place on Tuesday, April 29th at Hertfordshire University's Fielder Centre Professor John Atkinson, of City University and Coffey Geotechnics, will be the Seminar Chairman for the event, with registration starting at 12.15pm

Prof Atkinson said: "In many cities, the ground is full up with old foundations".
"A key design issue is what to do about these - use them again, ignore them or dig them out".
"This seminar will be looking at ways that this should be approached".
Among the topics set to be discussed include how to tackle old foundations in a talk by Edwin Bergbaum, a Director of the Waterman Group, and 'Key decisions, design process and management of risk' by Arup Director Tim Chapman.
Further lectures include 'Assessing concrete and steel deterioration' by Ian Sims, a Director at STATS and fellow Director Shon Williams who will be focusing on how to investigate piled foundations for integrity and load capacity.
The event will appeal to civil, structural and geotechnical engineers, developers, surveyors and insurers and local authority engineers.
STATS Chairman Adrian Marsh, adds: "This is a very important issue in today's construction industry and I am certain that delegates will find the lectures and discussions extremely valuable." Following the seminar, a personalised CPD certificate will be issued to delegates and the cost (to cover venue and refreshments) will be GBP55 + VAT.
