Steyport, producer of Centurion Paints, is improving its purchasing authority with appointment of new Buyer.

Leading independent surface coatings manufacturer Steyport, producer of Centurion Paints, is improving its purchasing authority within the marketplace with the appointment of Sharon Fielden to the newly created role of Buyer.

Fielden, from Burnley, joins from Educational Printing Services where she held the title of Stock Controller.

She has 17 years experience working as Purchasing Manager for local authorities and housing associations and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply.

(CIPS.) Wendy Drake, Managing Director of Steyport, said: "As demand for Centurion Paints continues to grow we require extra raw materials".

"Sharon's job will be negotiate the best possible price while ensuring the quality of the products meet our strict minimum standards".

The Centurion Paint range currently includes Vinyl Matt and Vinyl Silk Emulsions, Contract Matt and Masonry Paint, Liquid Gloss, Undercoat, One Coat Gloss, a full range of tinting bases and colourants, Timbercare, Acrylic Eggshell and specific Kitchen and Bathroom products.
