Thanks to a high level of initial demand from the Irish markets, the agricultural box specialist is predicting that it will sell more than 5000 boxes in 2006.
According to Michael Jack, Business Development Director of United Box, the company's initial success has been built on supplying superior quality wooden and plastic boxes to the potato and vegetable markets.
Wooden boxes, which are shipped in flat pack form and distributed north and south of the border, offer a number of enhancements including larger capacity at 1.2 tonnes, treated timber and galvanised fixings for greater longevity.
Tom McDonnell, Agronomist with Sam Dennigan and Co, said: "A team from United Box came over to make up the boxes and we are very pleased with the results.
"The quality of the boxes is first rate and we look forward to continuing to work with United Box.
The customer service was first class from their Irish distribution depot".
Michael said: "Ireland and Northern Ireland are both growth markets and we have set our sights on maximising opportunities in the coming year and are intent on doubling supply each year for the next four years.
"The initial response from growers has been tremendous and winning the contract to supply Sam Dennigan and Co has given us a strong start.
"We have been able to introduce a superior box in the market which is bringing cost savings to customers and challenging the status quo.
The new level of innovation we are bringing to the market will enable us to build on this and continue delivering superior quality products".
United Box is a joint venture between two heavyweights of the UK timber industry - the Scott Timber Group, Europe's leading pallet manufacturer, and James Jones and Sons , one of the largest suppliers of British timber.
