Charles Couzens, Executive Director of Ecos Trust, comments: "We are delighted to be opening the warehouse at Great Bow Yard again, especially during a week of events that are so in line with our own philosophies".

"Architecture Week's message this year - How Green is our Space? - aims to inspire people to think creatively about the spaces around them".
Having stood derelict for over a decade, the Open Day will give visitors an opportunity to see how the warehouse is being sustainably restored and rebuilt, to provide eight serviced offices, community space for workshops and events, and a bistro serving local and organic produce.
Restored, the warehouse will complete the picture of Great Bow Yard as a mixed-use development - 12 eco-homes, built using state of the art design, and the multi-functional warehouse, brought back to life with sympathetic construction techniques.
The warehouse will be opened officially in September, when it will be named Great Bow Wharf.
The warehouse is of great historic value to the town of Langport and Ecos Homes has been sensitive to this throughout the project - the building's original character has been preserved wherever possible.
The aim is that the building will become a valuable community resource that will encourage economic regeneration by offering space for fledgling or existing businesses, training, exhibitions and support facilities.
The warehouse Open Day takes place at Great Bow Yard, Bow Street, Langport, TA10 9PN from 10am - 3pm on Saturday 23rd June.
Architecture Week runs from 15th - 24th June.
