Integrated motorized treadmill for SwimEx Pools
Integrated motorized treadmill allows therapists and athletic trainers to design custom rehab protocols.
A new integrated motorized treadmill recently introduced by SwimEx has greatly enhanced the versatility of the company's aquatic therapy and sports conditioning pools.
Integrated directly into the floors of selected SwimEx pool models, the motorized treadmills allow variable speeds up to 8 MPH, and in combination with other standard SwimEx features, enable physical therapists, athletic trainers and homeowners to custom design challenging exercise and rehabilitation protocols.
Constructed of durable, high-traction rubber with a non-corrosive frame, the treadmill is equipped with a programmable monitor, speed indicator and removable handrails for optional support.
The monitor allows users to create and save interval programs with times and speeds specific to their needs.
Built with the same technology as SwimEx's patented paddlewheel 'wall of water' propulsion system, the treadmills are easy to operate and require no costly maintenance.
"The addition of this integrated, motorized treadmill adds another dimension to our aquatic therapy and sports conditioning capability," said SwimEx Sales Manager, Rob Lawton, ATC, CSCS.
"Having the ability to add the treadmill feature to many of our models allows physical therapists and athletic trainers to customize a pool to best fit their needs, and provides them with even more versatility in designing their rehabilitation protocols".
"Combined with our 'wall of water' current, the treadmill creates the most challenging water workout on the market today".
The SwimEx paddlewheel propulsion system moves up to 30,000 gallons of water per minute, and provides progressive, pool-wide, water resistance of up to 6.5 MPH.
Other well known SwimEx residential swim spa, aquatic therapy and sports conditioning pool features include variable depths, built-in plyometric workstations, tethering ports, and other accessories.
SwimEx pools are constructed of rugged fiberglass composite materials and have few moving parts for maximum durability and carefree maintenance.
Optional ozonators and chemical feeders further reduce maintenance and minimize chlorine odor.
SwimEx has been a pioneer in the development of fiberglass swim spas, or current pools, for aquatic therapy and training since it patented its unique paddlewheel propulsion system in 1984.
Designed to meet the aquatic exercise needs of health professionals, athletic trainers, physical therapists and homeowners, SwimEx pools are used by more than 100 professional and collegiate athletic programs, as well as health clubs, physical therapists and fitness-minded homeowners around the world.
SwimEx aquatic therapy and sports conditioning pools feature adjustable current speed and water temperature, and decorative finish options, as well as a wide range of plyometric accessories.
