At Synectic Design we have been designing and building instrumentation amplifiers for numerous years now, therefore feel we understand the market in great depth, allowing us to provide our customers with what they need now and in the future.

The instrumentation amplifier market is extremely wide and offers a large range of prices, sizes and numerous options and extra features.

Prices in the market range from £25 up to thousands of pounds; packaging follows a similar scale from smaller than a matchbox to larger than a shoe box, with numerous output and powering configurations.

During the time we have spend specialising in this industry we feel we understand the sector of the market that suits our skills and where we can offer value for money solutions for a wide variety of customer's requirements.

Principally we believe potential instrumentation amplifier customers require a few key features including: a variety of powering options - i.e.external (mains) or loop powered; a small neatly packaged unit (with fixing options - i.e.DIN rail mount); excellent performance - wide bandwidth and fast response; simple connection to transducers and other control or data acquisition equipment, and a competitive price.

The amplifiers we have sold for a number of years include the SY011, SY014, SY016 and the SY018.

Both the SY011 and SY018 are amplifiers that can be simply connected to a transducer and provide either a current or voltage output signal.

The SY014 is an amplifier that fits inside a load cell body, directly outputting a usable signal.

Finally the SY016 was one of the first digital bridge amplifiers available being ideal for research and development or precision control applications.

Two of our latest and most advanced amplifiers are the SY036 and SY046.

The SY036 is a digital bridge amplifier that converts analogue input signals into a digital output to be fed into a PC or PLC control unit.

The SY046 is a digitally tareable bridge amplifier is the ideal tool for load cell measurement applications where speed and accuracy are important.

It is the first digitally tareable amplifier on the market, currently with no direct competitors.

Finally our most recent amplifier to the market is the SY038, which combines all of the functions and options of our SY011 and SY018 units, producing a universal load cell and strain gauge amplifier.
