System Sensor Europe has extended its Vision family of conventional detectors with the introduction of a 78C fixed temperature device, designed for use in applications such as boiler houses and machinery rooms where a high degree of airborne particulate contamination, elevated temperatures and rapid changes of temperature can be expected during normal use The new detector complements the other devices in the family: the multi-sensor photo-thermal detector, which is an effective and environmentally friendly alternative for an ionisation detector, the photoelectric detector and 58C fixed and rate of rise thermal detectors

COPTIR stable fire detector cuts false alarms
System Sensor, the world's largest detector manufacturer, is approaching the issue through technology development by stopping false alarm generation in the first place.
Typically drawing a low quiescent current of 60aeA at 24VDC, all Vision detectors are compatible with the great majority of conventional fire control panels available on the market.
Approved to EN54-5: 2000 Class BS, the 78C detector can be latched into alarm from ground level during routine preventative maintenance by using the unique Vision laser test tool, saving time and money.
A variety of bases to suit different applications and control panel configurations are available as part of the family.
