Spaciotempo temporary building for TEREX Pegson
When TEREX Pegson needed a temporary home for a manufacturing facility, they chose temporary building and hire specialist, Spaciotempo.
To accommodate this increase, the station's existing sports hall has been refurbished and converted into a fully equipped gymnasium.
Following a competitive tender process, Spaciotempo was selected to supply a temporary building to accommodate other sport and leisure activities at the base.
With a height of 8m, the 500m2 building provides ample space for a range of sports including badminton, basketball and five-a-side football, as well as the annual RAF fitness test.
Complete with a specially manufactured rubber floor and a heating system engineered to run off the original system, the building provides a safe and comfortable environment.
Thanks to Spaciotempo's in-house design, production and installation capabilities, the building was manufactured and installed in just two weeks, with the minimum of disruption to the base's activities.
The modular nature of the building and flooring system allow it to be easily modified or re-deployed at other bases in the future.
At the same time, the aluminium structure is strong, stable and durable, capable of withstanding the harshest of conditions and offering the same safety standards as a permanent building.
Squadron Leader at RAF Marham, Rem Merrick, comments: "Installing a temporary building has rapidly alleviated the strain placed on the sporting facilities, with the minimum of disruption to the station's training and leisure regime.
"Given the unpredictable nature of our operation, the flexibility offered by the solution was an important factor in choosing Spaciotempo, as was their efficient, professional approach to the project from start to finish".
World experts in space solutions, Spaciotempo provides temporary or permanent architecture for a wide range of sports and leisure applications.
With structures from basic canopies through to fully walled structures complete with glazed doors and windows, operators can boost out of season profits by covering outdoor facilities during the winter months or cost-effectively improve, expand and refurbish their existing facilities.
