TAC acquires The Grant Group

TAC's existing direct sales operation in Belfast will be merged with the Grant Group and the combined business will trade as TAC Satchwell Ireland and form part of TAC's UK and Ireland business unit.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Grant Group is one of Ireland's largest independent systems integrators and installs building management systems (BMS) to control heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), using the TAC Satchwell product range.
The group is strong in a number of market segments, including pharmaceutical, education, healthcare, commercial and government.
Philip Clarke is appointed as the new Divisional Director for TAC's Ireland Division.
Philip has been with TAC since 1999, working in Ireland as security sales manager.
Philip will report to TAC UK Managing Director, Derek Duffill.
Niall Grant will continue to act in a consultancy capacity, initially assisting Philip with the transition to TAC ownership.
"Acquiring this business enables us to establish a leading market presence in a growing economy, giving us a platform for ambitious growth, not only by continuing to deliver a high quality of projects and support services to our customers, but by expanding the range of services offered, including energy, remote monitoring, security and integration".
"Our existing direct customers and established partner network will also benefit from our increased presence," commented Derek Duffill.
"This acquisition is aligned with the growth strategy of TAC's parent company, Schneider Electric, which is to expand beyond power management by offering a complete building management platform with a full suite of integration solutions," said Arne Frank, chairman and chief executive officer of TAC.
