TRADA finalises Haarlem conference programme

TRADA is working closely with its Dutch counterpart Centrum Hout and the programme will offer an insight into the Dutch experience of timber in construction and architecture.

TRADA, the Research and Development Association, has confirmed that Robert Lambe, Chairman of Operational Strategic Team and Deputy Managing Director of the Birmingham Office of Willmott Dixon, will speak at the Timber Industry Conference in Haarlem, Netherlands.

The event takes place on 9th and 10th November 2006.

TRADA is working closely with its Dutch counterpart Centrum Hout and the programme will offer an insight into the Dutch experience of timber in construction and architecture.

Speakers will include Arie Mooiman, Engineer, Centrum Hout, on key applications for timber in the Netherlands and recent initiatives taken there to grow markets.

Among the topics to be covered from the UK perspective are the contractor's view of timber, by Robert Lambe, while Camilla Hair, Public Relations for SCA Timber Supply and TTF Education Training and Careers Committee member, will address skills shortages in the UK.

TRADA Group Marketing Manager Rupert Scott said, 'Last year, the event attracted more than 100 delegates to the Dorling Kindersley organic farm.

We have decided to repeat last year's successful formula, offering excellent networking opportunities in an inspiring venue, within a relaxed conference format.

Haarlem is one of Holland's oldest and most interesting small cities, only 30 minutes from both Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport'.

The cost for TRADA members is £245 for 'early bird' bookings on or before 29th September 2006 or £285 for bookings after that date.

The prices for non-members are £285 and £325 respectively.

Prices are per delegate and include attendance of the conference on both days.
