Williams takes on new role within TRADA
Technology
Dr John Williams has taken up a new appointment as Business Development Manager for the Site-based Services division of TRADA Technology .
John holds a PhD from the Timber Technology Research Group at Imperial College and a Masters degree in Forest Products Technology Previously, as Technical Consultant, John was called upon to investigate a wide range of timber-related problems for a varied client base, including solicitors, engineers, architects and the timber trade
With more than 15 years' experience in the industry, his areas of specialisation include in situ strength assessments of timber; condition surveys of structures within the railway, marine, power generation and telecommunication industries; and condition surveys of historic buildings.
In his new role he will develop TTL services in these sectors.
He said, 'It is particularly important to preserve our heritage of cultural and industrial buildings.
Sympathetic, on site assessment and non-destructive test methods must be the way forward.'.
