TRADA seminars on 'threats and
opportunities'
Half-day seminars are aimed at senior directors and managers, to help them identify the threats and opportunities inherent in changes to building regulations and codes.

TRADA's Regulations Consultant Rupert Scott said, 'When you are running a business you may be aware that regulations and codes are changing, and quickly, but it can be hard to find the time to analyse what impact this might have on your company.
The seminars will help you get to the heart of the issues you should address.' The programme is broken down into three key areas, delivered over two sessions.
Session 1 will give an overview of the new and upcoming changes to building regulations and codes affecting the timber industry, touching on:.
- Code for Sustainable Homes.
- Structure.
- Fire.
- Acoustics.
- Energy Conservations.
- Flood resistance / resilience.
- Accessibility.
- Security.
- Water and drainage.
Session 2 will cover The Green Guide and environmental profiles, followed by waste regulations.
Both sessions will be repeated, giving delegates flexibility in how they structure their day.
Lunch is provided at 12.30.
Option 1 Arrive 9.45 depart 13.30.
Option 2 Arrive 11.10 depart 14.30.
Option 3 Arrive 12.30 depart 15.50.
The seminars will take place as follows:.
- Bristol 23rd April.
- London 8th May.
- High Wycombe 3rd June.
- Halifax 12th June.
TRADA Members may attend free of charge (up to three places).
The fee is GBP140 plus VAT for non-members.
TRADA will consider staging further seminars at its High Wycombe headquarters for those who cannot make any of the dates and venues but are interested in the programme.
