This one-day seminar is aimed at anyone interested in developing an understanding of green timber frame as a construction method.

The day will focus on bringing together post and beam structural framing and panelised envelopes into a cohesive all timber, wind- and weathertight solution.

The event will include a tour of the Aspire Centre at Carnegie College, Dunfermline.

This hybrid structure using glulam, green timber, engineered timber boards and steel connections provides a great opportunity to see how a timber structure performs over time.

The seminar concludes with a report on Dynamic Breathing Insulation Systems and how this innovative approach to low carbon buildings has been incorporated into timber frame buildings.

The cost is GBP99.00 + VAT for TRADA members and GBP115.00 + VAT for non-members.

As an extra benefit, every delegate will receive a free TRADA publication, either Green oak in construction or Timber frame construction, 4th edition.
