January 2007 Tarkett Marley Floors is exhibiting at Ecobuild 2007, the UK's most established event dedicated to sustainability and the built environment.
The event is ideal for the company who recently launched major initiatives to promote the recyclability of the product range as well as launching a range of environmentally friendly flooring products.
"Ecobuild 2007 represents a targeted audience for our products and services," comments Marketing Manager at Tarkett Marley Floors, Franz Lorenzshitz.
"We shall be launching two new products under a new flooring category, Eco Resilient".
"These are Vision R and Vision Nova, developed for markets and applications where PVC has been deemed inappropriate." "Vision R and Vision Nova will join our existing portfolio of products whose environmental responsibility has already been proven," continues Franz.
"These comprise Safetred Universal, Dimension, Aqua, Spectrum and Original, which contain more than 50% recycled material".
"However, alongside the physical product range on display at Ecobuild, Tarkett Markey Floors is introducing a truly pioneering concept which, we believe, will raise our profile in the flooring sector as market leader in environmental proactivity".
This concept is a recycling scheme for vinyl flooring, inaugurated in partnership with Recovinyl which encourages greater collection of post installation flexible PVC flooring.
For large contracts, Tarkett Marley Floors will supply cages to store off-cuts".
"Following collection, the material is taken to our Recovinyl-accredited PVC recycling plant in Chervaux, Luxemburg, where it is reprocessed and reused to produce a calendered backing for either new vinyl flooring or contract grade PVC backed carpet," continues Franz.
"We plan to roll this unique concept nationwide to all installers of Tarkett Marley Floors products in the very near future to reinforce our proactive promotion of our environmental credentials".
"Our presence at Ecobuild 2007 highlights our commitment to encourage better sustainability and eco-friendly materials and we are looking forward to a very busy exhibition".
