Office refurbishment features Tarkett flooring

A Tarkett Marley Floors product story

A major catering refurbishment for a leading pharmaceutical company has completed the incorporation of 200m2 of Tarkett flooring.

The refurbishment involved replacing the old and worn floor of one of the global headquarters' coffee shops, changing furniture to ensure that it was compatible with the new flooring, and a revitalised LED low-energy lighting scheme.

Tarkett's ID Premier Wood plank-effect luxury vinyl tile was chosen for the coffee shop.

The project manager for the work said that he and the client worked for seven months to identify the correct product and finally selected an item from the 2008 Tarkett range.

ID Premier has been specifically designed with commercial and retail environments in mind, taking inspiration from nature to offer more than 90 design options.

Themes range from rich, subtle grains of wood, and patterned and textured stone, marble and granite, through to cool metal images and the stunning realism of photographic options.

ID Premier has a backing made from recycled materials.

A 0.7mm wear layer, with TopClean XP PUR reinforcement, and glass-fibre reinforced structure gives ID Premier exceptional durability and toughness for very heavy-duty commercial applications.

This ensures the flooring will retain its good looks throughout an extended service life, even in environments subject to heavy daily use.

TopClean XP is a new generation of surface treatments featuring a photo-reticulated polyurethane coating, reinforced with alumina.

This provides extreme resistance to scratches and abrasion, scuffing, soiling and staining and the company claims it delivers substantial cost savings - more than 30 per cent on maintenance, and more than 50 per cent on water, detergent and energy.
