Topfloor lands Sky Blues Stadium stairs

Tarmac Topfloor has completed a £307k contract to supply precast concrete stairs for the prestigious new 32k-seater stadium for Coventry City FC.
Precast concrete products manufacturer and installer Tarmac Topfloor has completed a £307,000 contract to supply precast concrete stairs for the prestigious new 32,000-seater stadium for Coventry City FC, part of the multi-purpose Jaguar Arena development, currently under construction by Laing O'Rourke Working closely with the project's steel fabricator, William Hare Limited, Topfloor has supplied a stairs package for the project equivalent to around 500m3 of concrete, including plain flights, landing and scissor stairs, with the supply carefully coordinated with the erection schedule of the main steel frame

All Topfloor's precast stairs are designed and manufactured under strict factory disciplines to BS 8110:1997, and can be produced to offer fire resistance of up to 4 hours.
Due to be completed in time for the 2005-6 football season, the ?60 million Jaguar Arena stadium is at the heart of an extensive development which is set to act as a focal point for north Coventry.
In addition to the stadium, the development will also see the construction of 6,500m2 exhibition centre, plus conference and banqueting facilities, a casino and retail outlets.
