Tarmac Topfloor signs deal with Persimmon Homes
Tarmac Topfloor has secured a deal with Persimmon Homes for energy efficient Heatsave products to be installed in future housing developments.
Tarmac Topfloor has secured a deal with Persimmon Homes, one of the UK's leading residential developers that will see its energy efficient Heatsave products installed in future housing developments, improving thermal qualities of ground floors and as a result should reduce energy costs for heating.
Responsible for building over 12,000 homes across 400 sites in Britain during 2004, Persimmon will start using Heatsave in its ground floor construction on a number of its sites, offering a high level of thermal efficiency whilst substantially reducing the need for additional insulation.
With its advanced approach to ground floor construction, the energy efficient Heatsave range has been tailored to provide a solution that exceeds the governments stringent energy efficient guidelines.
Combining pre-stressed concrete T beams, which are filled with purpose-built expanded polystyrene (EPS) panels, Heatsave offers a lightweight alternative to traditional flooring methods that is easy to handle and quick to install.
Commenting on the deal, Jeff Kennington, Tarmac Topfloor Area Sales Manager said: "For many people working in the construction industry, creating an energy efficient environment is a priority".
" I am delighted that we have been able to secure a deal with one of Britains leading residential developers, allowing more people across Britain to reap the benefits of our energy efficient product range".
" "Heatsave helps to prevent energy escaping through the floor of a home, enabling properties to remain warm during the winter months without the need to run up huge electricity bills.
The deal will help Persimmon to benefit from a system that can help to reduce the construction time, while helping Persimmon to meet the governments energy efficiency targets Richard Noble, Commercial Director of Persimmon Homes Northern Division said: "There are many technical advantages of the Heatsave flooring system including high thermal insulation values, energy efficiency and reduced heating costs".
" When these benefits are added together, it is clear that Tarmac Topfloor has created a product that not only allows us to meet the current building regulations but far exceeds them".
" "Demand for new houses across the UK is continuing and with more people choosing to buy properties that reflect their own lifestyles and beliefs, creating properties that offer clear environmental benefits is likely to be something that will have a widespread appeal.
