Tapworks brings training to installers across the UK Tapworks, the leading supplier of domestic ion exchange water softeners in the UK, is taking its highly popular training sessions direct to installers around the UK by working with a number of merchants, taking their training courses out and about to the merchant branches.

The courses are proving popular with installers who are taking advantage of the courses being on their doorstep.

Trainer Johnny Peto, himself an ex-installer, brings the whole water softener issue alive with practical advice, background knowledge, hands-on involvement and a wealth of installer-friendly stories and anecdotes! As well as a useful session, it's a very enjoyable one to attend.

Johnny has been in the industry for 38 years and in the water treatment sector for 25 of those.

He brings an engaging approach to the training sessions, backed by the huge 'knowledge bank' he has amassed over his years of selling and working with water softeners.

At most sessions, attendees can win prizes to take away with them, in addition to finding out about a brand new profit opportunity to help them build their day-to-day business, and gain access to special offers and promotions as well as sign up for Team Tapworks, the installer group that benefits from regular contact with the company and on-going access to promotions and information throughout the year.

Tapworks MD Mike Pickavance says the training sessions at local merchants premises have been major turning points for the company, allowing them to talk to many more installers direct: " We want to get to talk to as many installers as we can and holding training sessions centrally at our headquarters in Stokenchurch has been successful to a degree but we recognise that people will only travel so far to take advantage of a training course".

"By taking the training to them, we have massively increased the take up of training opportunities, and we've been delighted with the response we've received from a major tranche of installers that have never considered installing a water softener before in their lives! When they see how simple it is to do, and learn how they can introduce the idea to their customers, very easily, they head off totally enthused at the prospect of selling more water softeners".

Tapworks has recently introduced a new Installers Guide to water softeners called 'Soft Sell".

"Hard Cash" which has already been very popular - with re-orders for further stocks from most merchant branches that have had supplies, already coming in.

It's a common sense booklet that outlines the benefits of water softeners and gives handy hints on how to sell them to customers.

It's been warmly received by installers who have responded positively by taking a closer look at ion exchange water softeners and by the merchants and their counter staff, delighted that more installers are moving more Tapworks water softeners off their shelves.

For details of Tapworks training sessions coming to a merchant near you, simply ask at the counter next time you're in, and if there is no session planned in the near future, ask the merchant to contact Tapworks to arrange one soon!.
