Tarmac Topblock online seminar success
Tarmac Topblock's first ever webinar was a resounding success, with around 675 delegates registering to take part.
The webinar - entitled 'Complying with the Code for Sustainable Homes: How to make your buildings sustainable for the long term' - is now also available to view from Tarmac Topblock's dedicated portal www.topblock.co.uk/sustain and has proved exceptionally popular, having already been viewed by hundreds of visitors to the site Delivered by technical services manager for Tarmac Topblock, Ian Gray, in conjunction with Andrew Minson, head of structural engineering for the Concrete Centre, the webinar focuses on the implications of the Code, with advice to help architects and specifiers understand how to meet the new technical guidelines as well as information on sustainability and product choice

New EU Standards for both aggregate and aircrete blocks set to be introduced in April 2006, are likely to cause some confusion in the construction industry according to Tarmac Topblock.
The seminar was so successful, that 35% of attendees said it had changed their opinion and that they would be specifying concrete blocks in the future.
This was in addition to the 59% that would continue to use concrete blockwork as a sustainable construction solution.
