Constructing Better Health now online

A Constructing Better Health (CBH) product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 1, 2008

Constructing Better Health, delivering the UK's first national scheme of occupational health standards for the construction industry, is now online with its new website.

The new CBH website provides access for employers, contractors, occupational health services providers and individuals to a wealth of important information to help promote good occupational health.

Michelle Aldous, Chief Executive of CBH, said: "The new website gives anyone in the industry the instant access to advice and information to support their efforts to implement best practice when it comes to occupational health".

"CBH is a conduit between construction employers and occupational health service providers and we have undertaken many initiatives to help bring these two parties together - including the launch of a helpline - and the website provides an additional route for people.

The CBH website includes information on work-related health issues (such as noise, respiratory conditions and stress), guides to best practice for employers and industry standards such as the CBH's 'Fitness for task' scheme, standards for occupational health service providers working in construction, and the Health Assessment Matrix.

In addition, the website includes a database of CBH-accredited occupational health service providers.
