Tamdown Group which remediates brownfield sites and installs groundworks has expanded its fleet of vehicles, machines, dumpers and smaller plant equipment.

One of the UK's leading civil engineering groups has announced a multi-million pound investment in state-of-the-art new plant machinery.

The Tamdown Group which remediates brownfield sites and installs groundworks on some of the country's largest development projects has expanded its fleet of vehicles, machines, dumpers and smaller plant equipment.

The investment is due to the fact that the group, which now has an annual turnover of GBP80 million, has experienced unprecedented growth in the last five years.

Tamdown Managing Director Mike Morris said: "This is a significant investment for us and is due to Tamdown's increasing expansion and success which we believe is thanks to our recognition of an ever changing market".

Tamdown Plant Manager Brian Flack said: "We have invested in 36 new JCB machines ranging from three tonne up to 22 tonne track machines and are expecting the arrival of 25 new dumpers which will be added to our fleet".

"We are also significantly adding to our vehicles by investing in some of the most modern and up-to-date on the market".

"It's a very exciting time in the group's development".

Tamdown which celebrates its thirtieth birthday this year employs more than 600 people and has offices in both Braintree in Essex and Maidenhead in Berkshire.
