Thule, the world's largest manufacturer of car roof rack systems, roof boxes and accessories, announced that Geoff Younger one of the original founders will be leaving the company.

Geoff, who has been with the company since 1990 and leaves for personal reasons and to pursue other opportunities Mike Foster, Business Unit Director said "Geoff has been a fantastic ambassador for the company and whilst we are sad to see him go, we all wish him the very best for the future"

Geoff added that he was looking forward to his new challenges and said: "I have made many friends over the years and wish Thule continued success in the future".

Peter Barker, who alongside Geoff set up the UK automotive car accessories division 17 years ago, will assume the role of General Manager and with it responsibility for all the Thule car accessory open market business in the UK and Ireland from November 2007.

This includes managing the Thule brand and overseeing the sales of Karrite roof boxes distributed from their Haverhill facility in Suffolk.
