T.B.Davies (Cardiff) will supply 1,200 specialist multi purpose ladders and accessories to be used nationwide by the fleet of telent engineers, servicing the BT network.

Access equipment specialist T.B.Davies (Cardiff) has just secured a significant deal with telecom services giant telent Plc, formerly Marconi.

The Cardiff firm will supply 1,200 specialist multi purpose ladders and accessories to be used nationwide by the fleet of telent engineers, servicing the BT network.

telent needed to replace an ailing fleet of timber steps.

The selection criteria dictated the replacement must be glass fibre, suitable for industrial use and compact enough to fit in the boot of the engineer's estate car.

The ladder selected was the Little Giant Glass Fibre, from the USA - an extremely compact, yet versatile and robust ladder system.

The Little Giant can be used in 24 different configurations - A-frame step, extension ladder, stairwell ladder, 90 degree step and trestle.

The Little Giant Glass Fibre was the only viable option, as there is nothing like it currently available in the UK.

The order will be fulfilled over the next two months, to coincide with the roll out of the new fleet of engineer kits, of which Little Giant will be an integral part.
