TB Davies 2008 performance branded a success

A TB Davies (Cardiff) product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Sep 12, 2008

Access equipment specialist TB Davies has seen a significant rise in sales on the back of a new marketing strategy - with the introduction of three new brands to the market.

Sales in the first six months of 2008 were up 16% versus the same period last year - a record high for the company.

Despite the current plight in the construction sector, TB Davies has seen "site safe" related products such as podium steps rise by 15%, while sales of the popular Little Giant Classic are up a remarkable 19%.

The boost in sales has been derived from customers being more prudent.

They are investing in innovative products that not only provide multi-functional use but whose compact nature also delivers considerable fuel savings by stowing securely inside the vehicle, rather than on top of a roof rack.

Director David Gray said; "These results are obviously very pleasing, especially in the current economic climate".

"We are acutely aware the dynamics of the economy have changed, but we have established a sound strategy through effective product selection and high service levels".

"To continue the success, our Pinnacle range will see the addition of the long awaited Little Giant Pro this autumn".

"Customers will be able to see the latest Little Giant addition at a series of trade shows in the coming months.".
