CIOB international news editor wins lifetime achievement award
John Allen, Editor of CIOB International News, was presented with the International Building Press (IBP) Special Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's journalism awards, in recognition of his long and distinguished services to journalism.
This encompasses his work on Municipal Journal (1948), The Surveyor newspaper (1952-63) and with Construction News for nearly 30 years, from 1971-91 in an unbroken run as Editor and later Editor-in-Chief.
